This is a great explanation of how maddeningly out of date our Constitution remains. The U.S. Constitution is the oldest and nearly the shortest national charter in the entire world. The idea that we can use verbiage from the 18th century to deal with issues like climate geoengineering and social media disinformation campaigns is laughable at best. As said in the Australian case of Theophanous v Herald (1994): "...to construe the Constitution on the basis that the dead hands of those who framed it reached from their graves...would deprive what was intended to be a living instrument of its vitality and adaptability to serve succeeding generations."
